Getting Lost...or Found
It doesn’t take much to get me off the Interstate. I’ll take U.S. or State Highways any day. County roads are even better.
A small delay this morning....
When driving old cars it’s always a good idea to look under them for puddles and parts. I guess the same could be said for old people.
Anyway, as I was loading her up this morning I noticed a small puddle under the front. Looking under, I saw some drops coming from the lower radiator hose. I called around and found a shops where I’ll get to use my best Spanish. But as I was pulling out of the hotel I saw a nice garage across the street.
I’ve asked them to check the radiator, check the wheel balance, as I’ve had some highway wobble the whole way, and my temp gauge isn’t talking to me so asked them have a look.
Oh, and I asked them if they can quickly do a V8 engine swap, but I’m not holding my breath on that one.
So I’ll wait here for a bit. It’s a lovely morning so may walk down and find a cup of coffee somewhere.
I hope to be on 87 north out of Mesa in the next hour, or so.

Well...it’s now not such a small delay this morning.
Im sitting in a diner near the garage waiting for some news, but what we know is that the radiator drip looks to be a cinch, but the wheel wobble isn’t tires, it’s bushings. And there’s an oil leak of sorts. Depending on parts availability (how hard can that be on a 1964 Rambler Classic 660?), I still hope to get on the road today. If not...that’s okay, too.
I just order up some grub and relax to the Christmas music playing from above...
...thanks Jessica for my food. I’m not sure that will be enough!
